The Imperial March to Nefta

I loved John Williams’ compositions for movies – Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, ET, Harry Potter… One of my favourite was “The Imperial March” from Star Wars as its really grand and you could feel the force coming from it!

I was pretty excited to visit the Star Wars film set in Nefta, Tunisia back in 2008. You can see the whole town of Mos Espa which was built in the middle of a desert. Heard from the guide that “The English Patient” was filmed here as well.

Anybody home? Star Wars film set, Nefta, Tunisia (9 December 2008)

There wasn’t anyone at the set when we arrived, so we literally had it all to ourselves. And the desert night skies were definitely the prettiest!
